Dearest Hanna, I’m so sorry that you are going through this horrible disease! My husband also has ALS so we know the struggles firsthand of what you and your loved ones are going through. My husband is also in end stage. He uses his ventilator about 22 hours a day. Just time to eat, (yes, he still eats by mouth some) drink and shower is off his ventilator. I’m glad you have come to terms and seem at peace with your decision. My husband is very afraid and does not want to go. He is so tired. I know that we don’t have much time left. I don’t want him to go but hate seeing him suffering so much! I will say a prayer for you and specifically for you to remain at peace. Hugs to you! 😢
